Often with sado-masochism - is the more physical side of BDSM - as opposed to Dominance and Submission. Specifically, all practices are classified here, the purpose of the infliction of pain or sensation.

Discipline has sadomasochistic features. Unlike Discipline sadomasochists beats playing but a minor role, and there are a variety of other practices that are used to inflict pain. Sadomasochism is practiced relatively rarely independently, mixing with other aspects of BDSM is common.
